Pluralistic Counselling

This is a holistic and person-centred approach to therapy, based on the philosophical concept that there is no single truth. There are always multiple ways of understanding and making sense of the world around us. Within this structure, I offer techniques from various perspectives as potential tools to help my client make sense of their own narrative. I believe all of my clients have the capacity to heal and grow and to make decisions about how they do this through collaboration, alignment of therapeutic goals and open, honest communication.
Drawing on multiple psychotherapeutic paradigms, such as Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamics and Transactional Analysis, and adopting a tailored approach in terms of structure and preference, the result is deeply personal and unique to the client. Pluralistic Psychotherapeutic Counselling can facilitate healing, growth and change in this way.
Anxiety & Stress
There’s a difference between productive worry and chronic worry that makes you feel unwell. When the worry feels out of control or impacts your life negatively, it’s time to take a look at what’s really going on under the surface.
23% of the population suffer from high levels of anxiety (ONS, Q2 2025) so you’re not alone, get help today.
It’s often the things that bring physical as well as psychological symptoms that finally make us sit and up and pay attention. We have all learned to expect a certain amount of stress and fast-paced living with multiple responsibilities, very busy schedules and unending pressure to perform. Hurtling along like this can only last for so long before something happens to tip the balance or symptoms start to creep in and it’s time to take a step back.
A great deal can be done to help with stress and anxiety, counselling can be a great place to start giving yourself the time and space to explore what’s really going on behind the day to day.
